Lane Norberg is a singer-songwriter from Portland, OR. Originally from Montana, Norberg recorded and released his first EP after graduating college. In 2018, Norberg relocated to Portland, OR, where he quickly gained many faithful fans, playing hundreds of shows and touring all over the Pacific Northwest. Norberg has made a name for himself in Portland's vibrant local scene, winning the 2019 Local Roots Music Northwest Songwriting contest, and performing at the 2023 Portland Folk Festival at the historic McMenamins Crystal Ballroom.
In 2020, Lane Norberg recorded his first full-length album in Nashville, TN, working with some of the best musicians in the industry. The album, 'Coming to Life', released in August 2021 and immediately began to make noise. It was named the September 'Album of the Month' by Local Roots Music NW and the song 'We're Not Alone' was featured on the SiriusXM The Pulse show 'Train Tracks' hosted by Pat Monahan of Train. Full of energy and bright with hope, 'Coming to Life' is a beautiful reminder to make the most of every moment and chase the unknown. Norberg continues to put out music, including his most recent release "Lose the Light" in the summer of 2024.
Norberg's indie-folk sound has been described as "James Taylor meets John Mayer", and he has a knack for writing a killer love song. Through warm vocals, catchy hooks, and intentional songwriting, Lane Norberg is an experience sure to leave you smiling.
